no, actually it depends on the embassy, if they have capacity to process K1 visa, NVC will send them the approved petitions.

*I haven't filled / paid for DS160 when i received the "In transit" and only start to fill in DS160 when status became "Ready"

I was notified that my case is in transit today… on a Friday. It’s been weird. I emailed the NVC twice before any response. I received a reply a month ago saying they have my case and it’s awaiting processing. I then received another inquiry response from a prior inquiry this last shipping day/Tuesday that said they never received it from USCIS. This Monday, I submitted an inquiry to my congresswoman, but I haven’t heard anything from that. I don’t know if they did something and that’s why I got notified or what. Nonetheless, I have my case number and it says it was shipped and shows “in transit”. I’m curious if it actually is or if they will ship it Tuesday, or if they already shipped it earlier this week, or who knows. My NOA2 was August 18th. It took 92 days.

Hi All. Our case at NVC shows "Ready", and it says that our case is in the the consular section.

We haven't received any letters or emails from the US embassy with instructions to register. I seriously doubt if they will contact us because we've been left in the dark for pretty much the whole process of this journey. When we go to the embassy website for registering for scheduling the interview date, there is a warning that says if we haven't received a notice from them with instructions to register, our registration will be canceled.

I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that they will never send us any instructions (that has been our experience so far). Should we register or wait? Does anyone know if we should ignore that warning? Thank you.

I have the same NOA2 date and got notified the same time as you. My fiancé is in Turkey. It is still showing in transit as of this morning. What about your current status?

I know that someone else went ahead and booked their appointment in this situation however, I’m not sure if they got this warning notification. I feel like I’m going to be in the same situation soon.

I think I saw that in one of the threads here too, but I'm not sure what happened after they book their interview. I was hoping that someone who went through that could share with their experience.

Please see the example above with the interview process, note that neither my case or RamiZest's case is going through the same consulate/country as yours but I would advise against scheduling the interview without prior authorization form the Embassy.

Our case was showing "Ready" for exactly a month before they decided to send the email, all I would suggest is to keep emailing every week or call to speak with someone directly at the Embassy.

Make sure you have filled out DS-160 and have the confirmation number, good luck.

Okay, that helps a lot, thank you. I guess we will have to wait.
