Sorry if this has been answered many times before. I am an American born and raised citizen with Dominican dual citizenship from my mothers side. I have two questions.

1. When I marry my fiance in Dominican Republic must I do it as an American with my American passport or can I just marry her as a Dominican  with my cedula? Reason I ask is its just easier/less paperwork to marry as a Dominican in DR obviously.

2. On the I-130  should I disclose I am a dual citizen and include a copy of my Dominican cedula?

Personally I assume it shouldn’t  matter what appears on the marriage certificate as long as my name and hers is on there and that its translated into english. I have to prove my American  citizenship on the I-130 anyways. But to avoid any set backs got to make sure.

If anyone has experience with this please help!

Thank you.

1. How you marry and what you use don't

matter. As long as the marriage is done legally wherever, it's certificate is good enough.

2. If it asks for citizenship of any other country, you disclose it otherwise no need.

most important is when you file i-130 for her, u will need birth certificate to show that u are born in US

His unexpired US passport will work too. He can use either of two.
