I do have a question. On the I-130 did you check the section you would be adjusting status? Or did you put Embassy of Interview?
Your I-130 approval does it say your application shows you are in country or does it say your petition is being sent to Department of State?

The original I 130 would have been on the basis of Consulate interview, the I 485 now needs to redirect to adjustment, actually helped some friends with this but the back story was different.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Not an issue, just include copy of I-130 approval and NVC case number.
You can send email via ASKNVC and simply say “ I will be adjusting in the US”.

IMHO , USCIS has set up quite an effective streamlined process for new apps since March 2022 announcement of risk based and Service Centers expanded powers of approvals.

Those filing split ( online I-130 and paper I-485 ) report I-130 approvals in less than 60 days.

In my not so humble recent hands on experience , an I-485 ( w prior approved I-130) filed mid March, scheduled for interview ( 5 minutes long) end of April and green card in hand in 2 weeks.

They have yet to deal with those caught in prior admin and pandemic backlogs, I agree

Not the case for me . I filed I-130 online and paper I-485 , one year later , i'm still waiting on my I-130 to be approved

That’s the case for many, USCIS did not come out til March ,2022 with their Risk Based plan of action and by the looks of it the filings AFTER that announcement are moving quickly but they have yet to catch up with the insane backlogs.

Plus some from certain countries just get stuck for the long background/security checks and that’s difficult.
@Stranger Things did you try the InfoPass and Expedite for your husband’s I-131 ..I recall his mom was not well and that’s a very valid reason.

It's very frustrating, I obviously passed background checks because both my EAD and AP we're approved. No, I think that may have been another member.
