Does anyone know or had an experience of traveling out the U.S on advance parole or temporary travel document and not being able to return ? I understand there’s a chance that custom border might give an issue even if u travel out on the travel document and I’m tying to travel to my home country for about two weeks , please help .

I have scoured the web for years and have never found a case of CBP denying entry to an AP holder.

I am now inclined to believe that CBP has concluded that it needs a really good reason to refuse to parole and it doesn’t want to risk a court decision limiting its power.

I have found cases where an airline denied boarding.

This nearly happened to my wife.  She had a combo card and the front line personnel refused to check her in. She persisted though, and eventually the station manager was called who ordered his employees to check her in.  Always carry a copy of https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2019-Mar/2019 Carrier Information Guide - ENGLISH.pdf when traveling.

Whatever you do, do not lose your AP document. See:

i read many people advise ( also many lawyer including my lawyer) dont leave US with AP if the person who has that AP, has overstayed their stay in the past while waiting for AOS to be approved. now, i combed on the internet to find the successful story, but no one reported back.

though i know many people who never have overstayed their stay, always can use their AP without issue and come back to US. saw many people posted about their experiences.

Why would you be denied?  Advance Parole is for the purpose of returning to the US......

Not an issue, My wife and I used her AP/EAD combo card to enter so much I think they got tired of scanning it at the POE. Never an issue with it.

Absolutely! However, most of us are afraid of using since it's at the discretion of CBP and if violated any immigration law like visa overstaying.

Until you are a citizen, every entry is at the discretion of the CBP no matter whether you use AP, GC, tourist visa etc

When the port of entry is on actual USA soil, there  is no discretion about CBP admitting a GC holder. Unlike a citizen there is no constitutional protection. But it is still the law of the land.

CBP can however cause air and sea carriers to deny boarding to anyone, including citizens.

And at preclearance ports, CBP can deny anyone.

Your profile shows you are on M-1 , but am assuming your advance parole is based on I-485 of some sort.
AP is a no go for anyone in removal proceedings, pending asylum and go with caution for those trying to maintain other visa status  while attempting adj.

You may go through a secondary inspection on return, but will be allowed in.

What is your AP based on?
