The flights are only a bit more expensive than the money you would have paid to file their Adjustment of Status packages (and the expenses of supporting them here in the US while waiting for your wife's work permit).

It's not a bit but quite a bit more expensive than AOS. AOS will cost $4000+ and whereas her fancy flight would cost $6000. When neither her nor I ever travel by premium economy I don't understand why she demands such high priced fancy travel tickets. While coming into the country from Frankfurt I have upgraded their travel from economy to premium economy because Condor airlines gave a deal to upgrade for $30 or $50 more hence I did it out of love for them. There are no such deals now and have to pay anywhere between 2 to 2.5 times the cost of the regular ticket if I get lucky. The flight duration to be less than 15hrs and tickets within 1 week will cost a lot more which I just cannot afford.

If woman is making fake ones does she not prove them in court with evidence? When none of that has ever happened how can her claim stand in the eyes of the court?

Evidence that stands up in court is NOT required for a VAWA claim to get a GC.  A self-affidavit and an assessment from a therapist that she is suffering mental trauma from abuse could be enough for VAWA.  Get her out of the house as quickly and as humanely possible.

Ok, makes sense how the entire legal works in the favor of women. I'll work towards getting them out of the country ASAP.

The longer they stay the more it costs you and the more likely there are to be complications.

I would bite the bullet.

I think so too and after biting this one I'll not be left with any teeth.

It works the same way for men who claim VAWA…..

You maybe right but I feel that it's just on paper that the law works for both genders. The reality is always been looked at that men do cruelty towards women. Even if there are some men who claim and go through VAWA the percentage would be minimal as compared to women claiming the same.

There are definitely men who claim VAWA and do receive GC under that, no doubt about that. The reason it might be less than women is because of societal stigma associated with men claiming abuse. Just like with domestic violence reports, majority are made by women, that doesn’t mean men do not get abused, they simply don’t report it. Perhaps if a society as a whole can accept that domestic violence against men exists and happens frequently,  we would get less of the assumptions that you put forth.

I agree with you 100%.

I meant the AOS fees + living expenses for supporting three people in the States, which combined will cost much more than $6000.

Anyway, I sympathize with your situation and hope you can get out of it as quickly and cleanly as possible.

And as soon as this is over (or even before), find yourself a support group.  Other guys have been hosed even worse than you, and there's comfort to be had from associating with kindred souls.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

That would be very helpful. Could you please guide me how to find those support groups?

Google variations of (for example) "divorced men groups"; "support for divorced men"; "men hosed by international divorce" (well, use whatever word works).  To identify groups local to you, add your city name (or biggest nearby city name):  "divorced men groups Atlanta".

You'll almost certainly come up with many choices, perhaps including discussion forums.  Let us know what you find.
