Hi everyone,

Anyone has any idea if how USCIS keeping the promise to clear the back log for (From i-130)? I hope someone who has any knowledge can chime in.

I keep hearing - looking all kind videos since March 2022 that USCIS has promised to hire more people and will clear the back log.

Thanks,

Sam

Please provide an OFFICIAL USCIS link for this promise.  I guess I missed it.

Here are a couple USCIS sources regarding addressing the backlogs in general:

https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-announces-new-actions-to-reduce-backlogs-expand-premium-processing-and-provide-relief-to-work

https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/readout-of-national-public-engagement-on-backlog-reduction

@SN@5127 I don't know if anyone here can offer "proof" that the backlog is being reduced. The best evidence would be if we start to see processing times lessen but that takes time to see tangible results.

I know of one person recently who got an EAD in 58 days so for that anyway it does seem to be working… on a sample size of 1 anyway lol

Alas, I don't see a goal as being a promise.....

Thanks everyone special THANKS to @"SusieQQQ" as usual very prompt and very accurate. that was the link I was referring to. I have seen that too and exactly was referring to that. "i-130 Family based = 6 months" that I saw that in March 2022.

@Crazy Cat - here is the link I was referring to: https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-announces-new-actions-to-reduce-backlogs-expand-premium-processing-and-provide-relief-to-work -> also I know patience is the key- luckily (Thank God) there is no visa/travel restrictions on Canadians for coming to USA; so my child visits anytime they wants to. She was just here 10 days ago.

Thanks a bunch ya all - cheers
