Hello everyone,

I had my IR1 interview at Yaoundé, Cameroon embassy on July 19th the questions asked were:

Who filed for you?

were you married before?

what does your husband do for living?

Have you lived anywhere else before ?

everything went well and in  the end the CO gave me 221g and told me nothing is required but i am on AP, then 3 days later i got an email asking me to fill up questionnaire and send it back asap, is this a normal? and how long does it approximately takes ?

(I have a history of traveled to Benin and Sudan)

is the questionaire a ds 5535 or just ask for travel history and dates?

Ds 5535 can take weeks,  months or a year

the embassy will try to get info from these countries and they are poor at record keeping

that is the ds 5535

go to the box area above labeled search on the right and type in ds 5535,   it will show posts from members going thru the AP for this

they check on the dates of entry / exit for length of stay

if they have any criminal report from those countries on the person

checks mostly by info that is gathered from passport stamps

there is also need in some cases to see (mostly for young men) to see if they travel to one and then travel from there to a hostile country
