NVC to Warsaw timeframe

What is the current processing time for NVC to send the case to Warsaw, based on your personal experience?

It has been a month since we received our NOA2 and no news since then. I'm wondering what to do in the meantime and how to plan our trip to Europe. My fiancé will also need to get a Schengen visa, which we cannot start applying for until we get an approximate travel date.

Assuming for K1. If so:

Check out similar timelines here: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=5&op2=d&op3=1&op4=2&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op66=All&op7=Russia&dfile=No&adv=0

Check out my timeline. For us the wait from NOA2->Warsaw was about 1.5 months. Another 2 months after that before the "instructions for interview" came (you're only eligible for your appointment when this comes)

When should we expect to get the case number? When the NVC receives our case from USCIS or when the NVC sends out our case to Warsaw? Sorry, I'm a little confused about where our case is located right now and what to do meanwhile. I'm seeing people approved in April going to their interviews in August, so I assume ~4 months from an approval date to interview is a legitimate timeframe to expect.

Unfortunately the timeframe has ballooned. The soonest availability interview date is currently January 30th. I would snag it while you can. Yes, I'd say ~4 months from NOA2 -> ready for interview is accurate.

You'll get your case number once NVC receives your case. For whatever reason (they probably mail them in batches) it takes about a month from NOA2 for NVC to actually receive the physical NOA2. Just keep calling NVC after about 3 weeks of NOA2 and see if they received it. They'll know what it arrives at their facility, then it'll take another week or two for intake and case number.

I cannot reserve a spot for an interview right now because I do not have a case number from NVC yet. If I understand correctly, I need a case number to schedule an interview. I'm also hoping to get an earlier date if someone cancels their appointment.

My NOA2 letter does not provide any phone number to call, in fact they ask to send all inquiries to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov, which I did.

Yes, I saw that notice as well. They now utilize the Public Inquiry tool posted on their website. The current response time to those inquiries is 2 months, i.e. as of today they are responding to emails received on May 30th:D By the time they get to my inquiry and provide a case number it will be 3 months since our NOA2 and the NOA2 approval notice is only valid for 4 months.

I tried calling that number to make sure there was nothing wrong with the docs I posted, CEAS site says its still waiting on docs from me....

I had requested an expedite on Monday early morning, and got this as a reply:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your patience. We sent your request to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in POLAND. However, they cannot expedite this case. To be fair to all applicants, the Department of State schedules immigrant visa interviews in the order that the cases complete processing at the NVC.

We will continue to work with you on this case. After we receive the required fees and review the documents, we will schedule a visa interview appointment."

It sounds like the reasons why I requested don't matter but they are refusing to expedite people's interviews.
