Hi All- I would greatly appreciate your experience and opinion on my situation

Situation: I am US citizen planning to bring my wife to be to the US. I would like to file either K1 fiance visa or CR1 spouse visa. My wife to be never been to the US and have no kids. She is fully aware of my charges and details.

Complication: I have a criminal record of "Assault in the Fourth Degree - DV". Victim was my minor daughter. This is transpired from parenting mistake/discipline. Incident happened on 2019

My understanding: The crime does not fall under Adam Wash Act (specified offense against a minor) this would mean I am eligible to petition

Clarification Needed:

1) When USCIS adjudicate the petition would they denie my petition due to my "Assault in the Fourth Degree - DV"

2) Which petition would approve faster and/or will have less scrutiny for approval; K1 or CR1 in my situation?

3) When I file the petition (K1 or CR1) shall i be proactive and include all the court and police reports as well as a letter describing the incident and a letter from my wife to be?

Thank you for all the help.

He mentioned “wife to be”

thanks. I found it to be confusing. Just a word of advice to @NAMJ4: if you do pick the K1 route, do not refer to your fiancé as a wife. That could lead to a lot of problems/misunderstanding with immigration

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
