Hey everyone. I had put up another post and I am so thankful everyone in this community is so helpful!  I would like to share an edited version of Cover Letter we have and the evidence, to get some opinions, as we have been so stressed about making sure we have enough evidence before we send. It needs to be sent by 6th September but I want to get it sent asap, this week if possible.

-We recently opened a joint bank account since we never really considered having one, we decided to just go ahead and open it but since it's recent, we don't have much to send away. Would we be best to explain why we hadn't set up a joint account until recently, or even send our own personal statements?

-We have printed about 35 photos and written dates, locations and names on the back but I read something that they need to be printed on paper, would that be best?

-Utilities are mostly either in his name or my name, as he was paying most of the bills, we hadn't considered that they would need to be in both names, so we hadn't adjusted it. Will this be an issue?

We are open to suggestions and tips, please let us know if there is anything else that we should change or consider as we want to make sure we provide as much evidence as we can.

It looks pretty complete. For the bank account it is good you acknowledge it and write an explanation, but if you did open an account, I would provide either a statement or just a document showing that there is a bank account and you are both on it. For the utilities I would include them because even if they are not in both of your names, having mail come to both of you at the same address is good.

The number of pictures sounds like a lot, so I would make sure that they show a timeline, or are from trips and also make sure that you have some where are you are socializing with friends or family. It is a big thing that they look for in pictures is socializing.

The pictures do need to be on paper, so I just printed two paper and it was easier to caption  them.

The one thing you may want to take out is the section for social media. That is well and good for the new visa when you haven’t lived together.but the other documentation is more valuable than social media at that point. We didn’t include anything about social media although we used it a lot for the initial visa. It may not hurt but weighing down the packet with a lot of information that they won’t use won’t make it go faster.

Took out some stuff 👆

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Thank you so much for your response! We have been stressing so much and adding all this extra information to make sure we definitely get approved, but I do think we may have too much lol. Since we don't have a whole lot of financial info, we have been trying to bulk it up with photos, posts and affidavits. That is definitely good advice, as we don't want them to have any doubts whatsoever :)

I even included our gym swipe ins that showed we went together!

It’s good to do your cover letter and address anything you think they may question.

In my case I had my husband on my health insurance but he took his own later as it was much cheaper.  I acknowledged that and briefly explained.  But it’s easier to lay it out and explain it up front to hopefully avoid the interview.  We had one but really just gave the most recent tax returns and bank statements and we were approved with no further questions.

Photos need to be printed. We used Word and added 4 photos per page with captions (date, location, names) and printed them in color. I would cut down the number of photos you send and prioritize the ones that show you with friends/family or different places (like the 2 of you on vacation).

No issue with the utility bills, they still corroborate your address and that you both contribute to utilities/bills.

Also I agree about social media - I wouldn't include that. Your other evidence is much stronger.
