Expedited Approved but nothing since then

Hello Everyone,

Expedited for my wife was approved on June 23 but we haven't heard anything from USA embassy in Ethiopia. We tried to contact them without any success. The reply we got from the email we sent sound like automated " there is significant backlog and we will eventually process your case". What is the point of approving expedited if the process is gonna be waiting? especially if it's for medical issue. My question is what is the best approach to contact the embassy and talk to someone? the number they have on their site will never transfer you to contact a person.

Thank you!!

There are, likely, people waiting ahead of you.  Expedite means faster.....it does not mean fast or immediately.  It could take a while. You have already jumped part of the queue.  Patience is the key.

where did u ask for expediate?

at what stage?

Does the embassy even have your case?

Embassy Addis Ababa has resumed processing of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas.  We appreciate your patience as there are significant backlogs in most visa categories.

When u email the embassy ,  do u include the case #,  both names and both DOB's?

The submitted all documents to NVC back March 1st and all were accepted except one which we resubmitted in May 14, our case our was transfer to the embassy before DQ ( we could have our DQ in may if it was for the one document) and we include all the things you asked and the case was transferred to Embassy on June 23
