It took 9 days for us to get DQ. I just checked the NVC timeframes and it says as of 08/28, they’re reviewing documents submitted 08/17.

Oh wow, much quicker than I was thinking. Thanks so much for the reply!!

Hi everybody,

We just got a DQ-ed message. However, all docs send have been ticked as accepted except the Waiver I have obtained for the Foreign Residency Requirement (for a previous J-1 visa I had). Is this concerning in any way? I am writing them an e-mail about it but just wanted to see if somebody was in a similar situation.

Also, anybody knows about uploading extras after DQ-ed? Will they accept those? Or just remain as submitted?

Hello and congrats!

My understanding of DQ is such that NVC is satisfied with the documents that you’ve provided which met their needs. All other documents are good to have, subject to your embassy’s requirement, need for upload and final decision. You should refer to your embassy page for the full list of documents for the interview and medical check up.

Hey peeps!

I hope most of you got your interviews scheduled. I got mine today!

Got a question though (it might not be similar with all the countries but it's worth asking). Anybody got trouble with registering for document delivery (like sending back your passport after interview). I did like the instructions but the ustraveldocs portal looks like this.

Don't really know what to make of it? 😬

Looks like it doesn't recognize the appointment or registration for that matter.

Hi all! We finally submitted all our documents on the CEAC today! Is anyone currently at the point where all documents have been confirmed at NVC? How long where you waiting for confirmation?

I was a I130 June 2022 filer, but I only filed last week Tuesday as well. Did you notice the increase in NVC processing times?

Since last week Monday it jumped from 7 days to 2 months.

Yep, I noticed that, too. I did some digging and it does look like people are still getting approved (just browsing a few timelines etc), I do think it might be a temporary problem.

This website shows historic times and it seems like case creation also had a big spike recently which then came down quite quickly. The document review time has also come down sharply yesterday compared to previous changes. Looking at processing time history for the past few years, there are no other spikes like that so my instinct is that it is a short term issue or glitch but who can be sure.

I might just be being overly optimistic about it, maybe the 2 month wait is legit. Going to check what the change is like next Monday before jumping to any big conclusions!

Yeah we'll see. Nothing we can do.

Last week it was 17th of August review on the 16th of October. Now it is 31st of August reviewed on the 23rd of August. Meaning they at least caught up one week, but maybe it's just a mistake. We'll see.
