Hi not sure if there’s already a topic here for July 2022 I-130 Filers.

My husband got a text notif that USCIS received our forms (CR1) on July 20, still waiting for the letter in the mail though. How long does it usually take to get in the mail?

It’s been only a few days but the anxiety is real 😅

Welcome to Visa Journey, the very best source for immigration information.  It could take several weeks for the official NOA1.  Anxiety after just a few days is not good.  The ENTIRE spousal visa process is full of stress and just waiting.  I suggest you use your time studying the process and staying busy.  You have a long road ahead of you.  Good Luck on your journey.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you! 🙂 The fact that we don’t know when do we hear from USCIS re Approval scares me a little bit. 😅

Crazy cat has given u good advice

after the I 791 receipt notice comes,  u hear nothing from USCIS for months and months

waiting day and day or week  after week will drive u crazy

looking at how many petitions immigration handles there were over 8 million pending at the end of the 2nd quarter so u r 1 in millions

relax

talke to each other about anything except immigration

don't make "getting the green card"  the most important thing at this time as the process is going to take over a year

Yep will do that, thank you.

Btw. So NOA1 came in the mail today..

2 separate letters, 1 with Notice date of July 19 (this letter got the beneficiary details, payment etc) and below it says Texas Svc Centre

Now the Account access notice from USCIS (with the instructions to confirm account) has Vermont Service Centre below and notice date is July 20 2022

I guess basing it on the most recent date between 2 letters, ours went to Vermont?

Anyway will just try and be positive while waiting for feedback. 🙂

Hi, July filer here! My husband submitted the I-130 online on July 1st. We received the I-797C showing Texas Service Center. However, he did not receive the account access notice... Is this supposed to be sent out to us? I am a little confused. I plan to check on the case status once or twice a month, as I saw people saying their cases did not move until months later... Good luck to all of us!

Hello! Both letters came at the same time, also not sure if it’s standard like for paper and online Filers to get those because ours was thru paper forms that were sent to USCIS..

Good luck to us 😊

  • 1 month later...

Also July filers here, from the Netherlands!

My wife is American and we're moving to the US.

By the time everything is ready, we might be married for two years... Haha. Whatever.

We have a great life here. Family, friends and work are great. So, no rush for us. We'll see when it comes in.

Good luck to everybody.

An update on my case:

PD: 7/1/22

AR: 7/27/22

According to Emma, my case was transferred from Texas to Nebraska.

The estimated time until case decision showed 4 weeks early this month. This week it changes to 2 months. BTW if you click on the question mark of this "estimated time until case decision," you will see it only indicates the similar case timeline, so I don't really think it means anything for individual cases.

Let's wait with more patience and keep faith😂

Yea, but it's a good sign. I am telling myself just live in the present.

Haha. Well, I'm not sure if you'll get approved in 2 months.

PD July 5 2022

AR July 5 2022

Texas (after chatting with Emma, receipt says Nebraska)

Our tab says 8 months still. I'm okay with that.

We're not in a hurry at all. We both love our life here. Actually we're aiming to move in December 2023. That will fit us best regarding work, getting things in line, my company car is due in November 23, so that'll save us a fine for handing it in early.

I think December should be safe for us to bet on.

But I just took a look at my timeline and it says mid-May 2023 we might get approved. Well, we'll see... If it is that early we might decide to move earlier anyway.

It's a bit tricky, since we're celebrating our marriage with an American wedding as well, mid-August. So, I don't want to risk missing an interview or so.
