That’s all so true. I hope you find a place that treats you with more respect. I ended up in a multiple email chain arguing about my spouses last name…. As if I don’t know our last name… but I’ve already paid so it is what it is

Who did you go with?

Goldstein. I can’t say it’s all been bad, but I do feel like the communication could be MUCH better. I have to have my mom send the questions to them because she’s a lawyer and knows what exactly to ask because anytime I send questions I get back answers that are absolute fluff or repetitive to what I’m asking.

This is so tiresome, all of this. Such a drain on one's time, money and emotions.

I don’t think anyone who hasn’t gone through this can truly understand the psychological toll it takes on a person to be stuck in limbo for this long.

As I have said before, I think the default thought a lot of people have is: you must have done something wrong or something. The presumption is that you just haven't tried hard enough because so-and-so who I know came from whatever ####### country and they got their visa a long time ago, etc. That really infuriates me.

Right!?!? Even my spouse gets caught in this WHAT IF I DID SOMETHING WRONG I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT and it’s just exhausting. I don’t believe there’s any real reason for any of us to be in this position.

My wife is influenced by all the people around her in Miami that immigrate from these latin countries and somehow they get in with no problems, and she even tends to view it like, "just pay a lawyer a few dollars then". No matter how much I explain to her about all of this, she seems to default back to the idea that this expensive mandamus suit isn't necessary, there is some other magical trick for less money that a lawyer can do or something.

We just filed our Mandamus with Goldstein. 🙏🏾

Congratulations.  We finally filed today too!  I have a bit more of a pep in my step this afternoon, even though in reality we still have a long way to go before we are out of this mess...

PACER is a website for accessing electronic court records, separate from USCIS but it would be relevant for a WOM since that is through the courts.

Also, these stories of poor customer service from Goldstein are terrible. I can't speak to their ability as lawyers but they really should be treating y'all better.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.
