How do I pay my immigration fee from Nigeria

Pleas I'm trying to pay for my immigration fee/greecard fee from my Country Nigeria, but Nigerian cards and banks are not acceptable. How do I go about it, is there a way it's paid like through agent?

When you use the visa in your passport,  it will be stamped, that stamp is good for a year.   So you have time to find a job in USA, and open a US bank account to pay for the green card production.

Agree better to wait till you are in the US and can get an accepted card rather than go through an agent. As long as you pay within the first couple of weeks of arrival in the US, it shouldn’t delay your green card processing. In any case your stamped visa is a temporary green card valid for a year after entry, as already indicated. 
 

You don’t need a job yet (not sure why that was said above), just a US bank account. A US debit card should be fine to pay the fee if you won’t yet qualify for a credit card , or you can apply for a secured credit card (you put a deposit down that is the same as what the limit will be, and after a year of responsible use you get the deposit back).

It has to be paid from a US bank account or card.

No it doesn’t, we paid with South African credit cards when we immigrated.  It is only if it is paid direct from a bank account that it needs to be a US one. I think Nigeria may have exchange controls which limits what they can do with their cards. But the point about the IR1 sponsor paying is a good one of course, and seems an obvious solution.

The poster is Nigerian that's why I said that because he can't pay it with a Nigerian card or account. Had the OP been from a different country I wouldn't have said so.

Just a general comment related to "answering questions" particularly from new members.  Sometimes they don't know what to ask, because they don't know what they need to know.  It's the more senior members' "job" to help them understand what they need to understand.  Sometimes, that means we need to ask questions before answering, and sometimes we know what they need to know that they didn't know to ask.  The idea is not just to answer direct questions but to actually help as needed.

 

This member needs to know a couple things.  One, is that without an acceptable bank account or card, he cannot pay the fee now.  He'll need to wait until he is in the USA and opens an account or can ask a local to pay from their account using his money.

 

He also needs to know that his question itself tells us he does not have an ongoing marital RELATIONSHIP with his petitioning spouse.  Otherwise, she would be paying the fee from HER account, either with his or her own funds.  This brings up a whole other can of worms, because (with not timeline) it's not clear whether he has an IR1 o CR1 visa.  Does he intend to abuse the system?  Do we want to help him do that?  So many questions.

 

But.  He has his answer.
