212 (g) (2) (B) Annotation

Hi!

My daughter and I finally received our Ir1 and Ir2 visas today and mine has an annotation that says:

212 (g) (2) (B)

Class A or B (TB) Req Attn of USPHS at POE

I read a thread from 2020 that says it's possible due to health reasons. My medical seems to be all clear because no issue was ever brought up, and my xray I believe was clear, otherwise they would have recommended me for sputum. I was evaluated by St. Lukes' psychiatrist but she said she believes I just went through a phase. (And I did, lol.)

Will I have problems at the POE - do I need to bring anything?

Thank you, yes I see in my vax records from St Lukes that I have some that are missing or could not be administered (due to age etc). So this has nothing to do with TB? Because I did not get a sputum and St Lukes just told me if I didn't get a sputum test then that means no TB.

The consulate could have made a mistake with the TB annotation.  It probably should have been "Class A or Class B req. ATTN of USPHS at POE" (no TB tag).  It is part of DOS policy to add an annotation for those evaluated for mental health issues.  See below --

A little concerning about the Class A part - I'm not diagnosed with a mental health disorder or anything. But thank you, wish me luck when I enter lol.

Not an issue at all.  The CBP officer at POE won't even mention it.

I hope so! This has been such a stressful process and my excitement over finally getting my visa got dampened today, but - one step at a time! Slowly getting there. Thank you Chancy ❤️

No worries.  My visa also had the TB annotation.  But USEM did not make a mistake in my case as I was actually tagged for sputum testing (results turned out to be negative, thankfully).  It was a non-event at my POE.
