ewww dutch Drops lol.. I tried to eat them but they are not tastyy!!! well. is not from my country but I miss frites met zurvlees, vlai and olliebollen..

from Mexico, I miss my fresh ridiculously cheap FRUIT!!! that's what I miss the most, mexican candy and other snacks can be found here, even the mexican glass bottle Coca Cola.. but other than that.. I miss the fruit, oh and good poblano cuisine, and Tortas AHogadas!!

isn't the nutella that they sell in USA exported from Italia anyway?? or is it made here

I have a recipe for Olliebollen... Its pretty easy to make just takes a long time.

Oliebollen

1 envelope yeast

3/4 cup warm water

1 tsp sugar

Mix together and let rise for 30 minutes. Then mix together,

4 cups flour

2 tsp salt

2 cups warm milk

3 eggs

Then add the yeast mixture. Let rise for 2 hours. If desired, add raisins, cherries or apples. Then drop by teaspoon full into the deep fryer. Turn when underside is browned.

Thank you.!! That's great. In the Netherlands it's the new years eve food. You'll find little boots selling them already early december, but my grand parents and parents always made them themselves. You actually can buy prepared packages in the store with the yeast already in it.

It my birthday food, my birthday is december 31st. I even have pictures with birthday candles in a oliebol. Don't have it on the comp to show, hadn't digital camera's yet and have to scan them first otherwise :P

I think I miss the food from France more than my husband! I miss the baguette - there is no way, unfortunately, to get the same here in Boston. I miss the cheese, for sure. I miss the saucisson (mini ones are so great).

LOL, look for the kind made in Canada. It is much better as it contains no peanuts. I have no idea what they were thinking putting peanuts in US Nutella. Nasty.

*sigh* I just left Nepal a couple of weeks ago and am already missing Nepali food...

'C'(chili) momos, especially with yak cheese, chili chips, yak cheese pizza, my MIL's dal bhat, gundruk, cucumber aachar.

Fresh uku(sugar cane) juice, sweet bananas(unlike the ones here that have no taste), and oh the mangoes...There is nothing like Nepali/Indian mangoes - and I come from Hawaii so I know my mangoes :D

Real curd, especially from Bhaktapur - I used to eat it every day...

Masala chiyaa and fresh Nepali donuts or sel every morning...

the fresh Mithai from the shop near Pashupatinath...

Sikarni...

Some friends are visiting us throughout the month, from Paris, and they're bringing us bags of saucisson! We treat it like GOLD when we have it.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
