8/25 packet arrived at Phoenix lockbox

*** no communications yet whatsoever ( no email, no text messages, I included Form G-145 )

checked my credit card online just now and saw that the $680 is already pending… I am hoping to get some kind of communication tomorrow 🥰

here’s to a fast and stress-free processing and approval for us all!

Your packet arrived right before the weekend so your processing of the payment is right on schedule given how it seems to be going lately. I got the pending payment on a Friday and the text on that following Monday, so I bet you get the text tomorrow!

That makes perfect sense, thank you!

Got my text notification today, case starts with letters “SRC” 🥰

YAY! You will probably get the extension letter in a week. Your case is in Texas service center

I just received a letter with the biometrics appointment for next Tuesday. My case was created just 2 weeks ago so hopefully this is a sign that the process will move fast. My field office is Denver.

My case is exactly one day behind yours (USCIS received 8/9 and Txt message 8/12)… I’ll be watching my mailbox/USPS delivery digest 👀

By the way guys, do you know / have you heard anybody having their interviews waived? A friend of mine ( I also met her here) did not have ROC interview, but it was last year ( I guess on the height of the pandemic which makes sense that they approved some without interviews ).. just curious if they are still doing that 😍 no matter, I am just glad that our cases are moving along. Although it would save us some vacation time if we DO get our interviews waived 😂

I’ve seen some cases here on VJ and on YouTube. But I’ve also seen a lot of people having a combo interview or a N400 approved while I-751 is still pending…

The ultimate truth is everything is possible and we just can’t predict USCIS (as much as we try/would love to 😅)

Hi. Does it mean that one can still get a Biometrics appointment, even after getting the Extension letter?

Yes - the biometrics would be to process the 10 year GC. Since processing is averaging 15-24 months, the letter extends the GC for 2 years so you’re able to travel/renew documents/provide proof of status in the meantime.

USCIS will let you know if they can reuse what they have in the system or will send you an appointment letter.

Since you had an AOS for your K-1 it's highly likely they will just reuse your biometrics from that -- that's what people have been seeing lately. For those of us who have the CR-1 we didn't have biometrics taken and so we are now getting appointments after receiving the extension letters.

Ok. Also, will there eventually be interviews for both CR-1 & K-1 , much later in the process? Thanks.

You may / may not have biometrics appointment and may / may not have I-751 interview. Nobody can give a guarantee. Also no guarantees about the timeframes. So make sure to check your mail and case status regularly.

Ha, this is definitely the right answer for all things right here!
