Hi,

My case is "ready" at the embassy. What is the next step? Do I schedule an appointment by myself or wait for the embassy to send me an email?

Are there any steps to do while waiting?

Here are some info about Amman embassy K1 process

Best to post on regional specific forums or others using the Amman embassy.

Good luck!

Thank you!

Specific forums in Jordan are mostly about marriage visas. K1 visas is very rarely mentioned.

Would it be a good idea to fill out the DS160 form and pay the fees while waiting for the embassy email?

If you have an approved K-1 petition by USCIS, please visit www.ustraveldocs.com to create a profile and schedule your appointment. Please note this does not apply to Syrian applicants currently residing in Syria.

I would call the Amman embassy and ask.

Some consulate/embassy DS-160 have a 1-month expiration, so completing it early may not be useful.

However for UStravelDocs, it doesn't hurt to set up an UStravelDocs account with a gmail and see what information you can fill out, but don't complete fully yet.

I recommend using Google Meet with the presentation function so that both the petitioner and the beneficiary can complete forms together like DS-160 and UStravelDocs.

And I would send the I-134 to the beneficiary only after there is an interview scheduled.
