Does anyone know if you have to pay a fee to get through the gate to get into the Embassy for the interview for Lagos Nigeria Embassy?  I'm being told it's around $280.00.  Is that true?  It is a Nigerian fee to go through the gate.

Sounds like a typical scam perpetuated by your countrymen.

 

The department of state does not charge a fee for entering the embassy for your interview.

No, there isn't. Those guys outside the embassy are hustlers and aren't affiliated with the embassy. Don't let them convince you to "help review or arrange " your documents.

its  a shame these scammers target everyone -even their own countrymen

 

do not pay fees to enter the US embassy/ all that is needed is confirmation letter from embassy for appointment

do not pay fees to enter the US dv lottery/ that is also free

do not pay fees to EducationUSA

 

To be clear, EducationUSA services are free to aspiring students.  Do not pay money to anyone asking for fees

There is a place inside that you can store it inside a locker for about 500 naira. But if you're staying at a nearby hotel you can just leave your phone at your hotel.
