WOW help please

I have just got home from my Infopass appointment and found out that the reason for my EAD not arriving in time is because they have not received the $70 for the biometrics! They took my Biometrics but thats all, so they wont release the fingerprints as there wasnt a check cashed!

I have to go back tomorrow to speak again incase the check had been cancelled, which it doesnt look like it has from my online banking. Just looks like we totally forgot to include it!

Anyone have ANY clue as to where this leaves us now, This is the lowest point of me being over here I feel Ill because of this. Why didnt they tell me on the phone all the times I've called or send me a letter letting me know at least!

Did they not tell you at the infopass appointment what to do not about the payment???? The reason the 0800 line did not tell you about the check problem is that they only have access to the same info you can see online... and they are not immigration officers...

Take a check with you tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to forward it to the right place and you will get your EAD very soon...

I said to them I have probably forgot to put it in so what can I do, but they wouldn't tell me anything until I confirm no checks have been cancelled, which they haven't, just a stupid oversight on my behalf! You would think it would be really easy to just send the check on then give me it but nothing is simple with these guys!

Was the biometrics fee for your AOS or EAD? Nowhere on the EAD application does it say you have to pay a seperate biometrics fee?

Yeah its tomorrow morning at 7am so I will take my check book with me and see if they accept that there and then and send it on for me! I have had the biometrics taken just the results of fingerprints have not been released! Im praying there wont be a beaurcratic nightmare after this now!

I sent 2 checks in to them that have been cashed,

One for $180 (EAD)

One for $325 (AOS)

They said there should have been a third for $70 for biometrics

ok the biometrics fee was for the AOS not the EAD. I paid the bio fee with the AOS 395.00

Yeah that is correct, mine should have been $395 too! absolute stupid mistake but whats done is done!

Anyone know of anyone else this has happened too?
