I was terrified by the exorcist.

I still get a bit freaked out by it.

Damm! Both my kids are gone and I'll be alone in the house all week....Why did I read this thread?

Btw, the scariest movie I've seen (psychological) was In the Mouth of Madness. That movie totally freaked me out.

Years ago. I barely remember it. A friend mentioned it a few weeks ago but my local video stores don't carry it.

Read the book.....it's terrifying!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

i kinda thought it was a little comical honestly  . i mean pea soup?

The 1st time I saw the Blair Witch Project though - I thought eh that wasnt anything, went home, and couldnt sleep at ALL :girlwerewolf2xn: latent scaryness I suppose :D

One thing that would NEVER fail to freak me out was Unsolved Mysteries... and Fire in the Sky *shudder*

Robert Stack! :P What a great voice, but hearing it always reminded me of the movie, Airplane. He was good at parodying himself like on The Simpsons.

I didn't like the 1997 adaptation, the acting was too bad and scenes that go so well in the book and keep you on the edge don't translate the same in the movie, it gets boring and long.

Movies are usually worse than books, but Stephen King manages to almost destroy his own books making movies too long with 4-6 hours.

All those hokey haunting/possessed/demon movies never scared me...what scares me are things that 'really happen' and hit close to home. Like involving children or something...stalkery stuff....like Cape Fear (the Deniro version). That movie creeped me out as well as stuff like Dead Calm (Nicole Kidman). The psychological thrillers scare me more than blood and guts every time.
