Is your case outside of normal processing times? Did you check the earliest date you can send an inquiry to USCIS?

A congressman will not be able to do much if your case is still within normal processing times.

Please do a timeline

if u do one  and  inform the VJ community of the processing office,  we can look up processing times

if your case is past normal processing times ,   u can do your own inquiry

Congressman will get the same message ,  USCIS would send to u

he/she can't speed it up or get the petition approved

This is for my friend he applied for his wife is wife is the beneficiary

Without knowing the facts, I'll point out first that, in my honest opinion, congressman and Senators used to be much more reachable when you sent letters by mail. As far as I'm concerned, with all the emails and online forms we have today, these people get inundated with requests for help/complaints on every topic you can imagine and in most cases it will take them longer to respond than it will USCIS. That said, the foreign spouse is the beneficiary, the US citizen is the petitioner.
