I-864 Sponsor - Part 6 Annual Income

On page 4 part 6 question 7 it asks for the annual income of the sponsor in USD.

My sponsor currently works in the UK so the income is in GBP.

Do I translate this into USD? If so with what exchange rate?

We have a joint co-sponsor that fulfills the requirements and has USD income.

Do I just use the figure from her most recent tax return?

Thank you

Will this income continue when sponsor comes to US?

if not:  it is 0 income

Can I use foreign income for affidavit of support?

Can foreign income count for the income requirement? If you as the sponsor live outside of the U.S., you cannot count the foreign income towards the requirement unless you can demonstrate that you will have the same earnings when you move to the U.S. or have another job that meets the financial requirements.Jul 19, 2021

Thank you that's very helpful.

However, is it ok to put 0 in that field if on the tax return she did have income, listed as "Foreign Income"? As I have to submit that tax return?

you submit US tax return and with the exclusion of foreign income and the form 2555 that was filed with the form ,  that  income would be 0 unless over the exclusion amount (2021 was $108,700)

UK has a tax treaty with the US and there is a tax exclusion

the USC needs US income to support the I 864 and if the income from UK does not continue when coming to the US ,  he should line up a job here and be able to prove that and/ or a joint sponsor and / or be able to prove US assets
