i-864 part 6 confusion

hello,

i'm confused of how to file part 6 in I-864 please help. i am an american citizen filing for my spouse.

 I was a student for year 2019 and 2020 so i didnt file taxes. i only filed taxes for 2021 since it was the only year when i was employed.

how should i answer 23a. im assuming the answer should be NO since i didnt file for all three most recent years.

and for 24.a i have put tax year 2021 and total income.

but for 24.b and 24.c should i leave it blank ? or put ( student) in the area showing total income.

also for 25. should I put mark on that because i dont have an evidence of why i didnt file taxes for 2019 and 2020.

please help.

Item 23a should be "No".

For items 24b and 24c you should write "income was below filing threshold" to explain why you were not required to file for those years....or you can attach a letter saying the same. 

Mark item 25.

 

Note:  If you were required to file, you must do so to qualify as a sponsor.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
