I drive a 2017 Nissan Versa with basically no bells and whistles other than bluetooth, which I never use. I'm going to be so confused when I finally have to get another car because I have never driven one with any kind of special features, and I'm keeping this one for at least another 5-10 years. It's only got 28,000 miles on it.

Honestly, I wish more people would use their bluetooth.  I see so many people driving on the roads with a phone in one hand in cars fairly new that certainly have a way to connect the phone to the car it is scary.  But it would be interesting if the car companies would make bluetooth, CarPlay, etc. a subscription service.

Oh people should absolutely use it for phone calls. I rarely make calls while driving, except when I call my husband on the way home from work. I call while in the parking deck, put him on speaker, and snap the phone in a holder in my car. The roads here are noisy because of roadwork and it is harder for him to hear me over bluetooth.

 

It drives me nuts how often I see people using their phone while driving. You want to look at it quickly at a stop light, fine. But for the love of god don't touch it when you're going 60mph down a 4 lane highway! Ugh.

Yeah, I see some people doing it even in areas where it may result in a ticket.  In fact, driving through Georgia a couple of times in the past 8 months, there were quite a few phone holders along I75.

I get on 75 north for a few miles going home. I normally go 65 or so since it's a short distance.  Almost every night a car slows from 70 or so down to 50s and starts weaving. I pull out to pass and every time the car is glowing and some idiot is looking at the phone. More impaired than a drunk.
