US passport Renewal (Payment fee mistake)

Hello my husband is renewing his U.S passport book with US passport card and expedited it.

 

passport book : $130

passport card : $ 30

passport book and card : $160

Expedited fee: $60

 

 

the only problem that he only paid $190

he made mistakes because he thought passport and card is only $130 + expedited $60 = $190

 

He used USPS money order. He also emailed his passport renewal application together with the old passport and card. 

 

How can he fix it? thank you!

Seems you guys have all kinds of issues with  following instructions for forms.

 

If he paid an incorrect fee, the application will be returned for resubmission.

Thank you but I think you guys are not helping. Instead of helping someone you mocked at them for their mistakes and even make fun of them! people make mistakes especially when they are suffering from the silent battle their mind is absent minded. Hope you guys be more positive and encouraging in responding here instead of being negative and mocked people about their mistakes.

I remember when I renewed my passport last year, I did not need to have it expedited.  Then it was taking too long.  I decided to call them and see if I can convert my application it to expedited.  They emailed me a form so that I can provide my credit card for processing expedited fee payment.  It was all done same day.  I think you should call the passport center (I do not have their phone number) and tell them you like to pay for expedited processing and they will most probably accommodate your request.
