Was your consulate also very busy or were you expecting your appointment date because they schedule dates very quickly?

The wait time used to be 1 week. Then they prioritized the student visa so the wait time started to spike. Currently, I believe 6-week wait time.

others from June 10th and before got their interview within 3 weeks of dq but mine was June 17th and they stopped cr1 interviews all together unless expedited.  I did try but that was refused. I have emailed them

and called.  I did an inquire with Nvc July 7th so hopefully I will hear something soon.

how do you know

I emailed them and they replied saying they have halted spousal and family visas until they finish lottery visas which is due by September 30th.  Then they also posted a message on their local embassy site.

Just want to  report back, DQ'ed 7/14, interview on 10/20. Literally received the email while I am tiktoking and eating breakfast at the same time.

You're at Guangzhou, right? We were DQ'ed 8/19 so that gives me a good idea what to expect.

Yeah, I think you are about 6 - 8 weeks out before you hear anything back from the NVC

Oh that's really interesting. It looks as though a whole load of cases left NVC yesterday from many countries. I don't understand much about the K1 process but it seems like a key difference between K1 and CR1/IR1 is that at K1 cases are scheduled by the applicant wheres at CR1/IR1 it's done for you.

This may be a sign they're prepping to start scheduling interviews for family visas for CR1/IR1 too. It might be a good idea to check ceac more over the next few days as some of us may have left NVC. Fingers crossed!

I finally got my Interview Letter on 9/9.Cr1 interview 10/19 Tunisia Usa Embassy. Our DQ was 6/17/2022.

Hey, is anyone getting IL in the Netherlands these days? My case was DQ on July 12 2022, and after 2 months NVC just sent me an automated email saying they hadn't had any slot available at that time. I sent an email to the Consulate Immigrant Visa unit, and just got an automated reply. They say on the consulate website "we prioritize immigrant visa applicant and US citizens...". Really? How is it hen possible that students, exchange visitors and all other non-immigrant applicants (except B1) get their interviews within 1 - 7 days? Sure, so easy to blame everything on COVID...

Hi @IAG! Did you get your Interview Letter?

Yes, I did. NVC sent me my interview letter on Sep 28 - approximately 2 months after my case was DQ-ed. The interview was scheduled for November 15. However, they suddenly re-scheduled my interview to November 8 - one week earlier - and I missed my appointment. I found out about this when I went to the Embassy on November 15, and they obviously did not let me in and asked to re-schedule.

I am very lucky, because November 29 is my new interview date - 11 days from now.

So please, read every single email they send to you, no matter how silly those emails are, because they might carry very important updates! Good luck!

Wow, sorry to hear that. But luckily you got your interview in a couple weeks. Thanks for all the details you provided! It helps us a lot to have an idea of how long it takes this step of the process.
