Do Wee Need To Keep Old Documents After ROC Is Complete?

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see the need of getting rid of all paperwork. You never know if you’re going to need it. Immigration is unpredictable. I have all my documents from AOS, made a copy of my ROC package and will do the same (copies) of my N400. I am keeping all the documentation for as long as I live. My peace of mind is more important than saving space should the need arise to dig into such documentation

I am not 100% sure but all this might be in your USCIS foia/ alien file as well.

Advice given here years ago was to keep everything until 2 years after naturalization.

It harms nothing to store it in a box in a closet.

In addition, it's part of your family history.  Your children and grandchildren may have an interest.

I still have all my immigration related documents from my F1 days through citizenship in a box in my study, though I’ve been a citizen for many years. I think it’s more sentimental than anything.
