Quick question. By any chance does uscis case status website gets updated when biometrics appointment is scheduled. My NOA is from 07/07 and I did not receive biometrics information yet. My case is in Texas service center.

My case status has NOT updated to show that biometrics appointment is scheduled... it shows "name was updated". Before that, it was "case received".

July 13 - dropped off packet at USPS

July 15 - AZ lockbox received packet

July 20 - got case # via text message (CA service center)

July 23 - received 24 month extension letter

Aug 10 - received NOA letter saying my case was transferred to National Benefits Center

Is there any way online to see if there was any activity between the extension and case transfer?

There likely won't have been too much activity on your case, I've seen people get biometrics appointments in this timeframe but not much else. Do you have an account with my.uscis.gov? If you add your case number to your account you can see all the activity and status updates that they make on your case.

@angie.v & @palp, according to the guide we can't track our cases until a biometrics case number is assigned. Although the guide also talks about 1yr extensions and obviously the period now is 2yrs... maybe an amin could update the guide?

I do have, let me take a look if there's anything there. Thank you!

Yeah it doesn't say anything in there

August 10, 2022 Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction
August 8, 2022 Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was transferred to another USCIS office.
July 15, 2022 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

I think that info is out of date as well -- I entered the case number provided in the text message and it shows up in the USCIS website.

That's about what I'd expect this early on -- good to know they do indeed allow you to see that kind of processing. Likely they haven't looked through it yet but are just redistributing case loads.

I sent my I 751 application on July 2022 and completed my biometrics on 16 August 2022. My NOA says MSC National Benefits Center. Does anyone filed I 751, completed the biometrics and waiting for Interview? Does anyone know when do I get the NOA regarding Interview? And whats the processing time of I 751 at the National Benefits Center?

I went to my biometrics appointment yesterday. I was already annoyed enough that they didn't reuse my fingerprints from AOS. Had to take an unpaid day off from work and drive 400 miles.

Well, turns out I had to go in for biometrics because of a name change. Which is in fact their mistake. They erased my first name for whatever reason. No one could tell me why or has seen it happen before. And they were not able to fix it.

They only told me to call the hotline and hope they can fix it.

Hopefully, they won't see it as another name change in their system and send me another biometrics appointment notice... I'm already tired of this s*** again 🙄
