It seems to be a trend that getting the 10 year GC take longer than expected? How many went to get the stamp? Or what's going on?

Edit unavailable; I've misreaded this. 24 months is longer than 12 months, so a lot of GC are appearing sooner than 24 months. It seem to be a quicker trend since, btw. So not really worth a worry about.

What's bothersome? I'm reading up to see how long does it take to get a stamp... but I'm generally unsure about how long does it take to get an appointment.

Victim shaming and discounting the difficulties CPRs are having is bothersome.  
 

99 percent of these  cases shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to adjudicate.

Not completely true. If you’re already employed, your employer shouldn’t re- verify your status. It’s actually against the law. 
Also,  before your extension letter expires, you should get an i-551 stamp. Although Some people  report that there are no appointments available, this is not, by any means, widespread

Not accurate either. My ROC is pending, and I have a five- year DL. There are ways around it if you plan ahead of time.

How does one connect to the other?

My ROC is pending, and yes, I do want to get it processed. However, your life doesn’t depend on ROC. You can still work and travel and do pretty much the same you’ve been doing. I’d much rather USCIS used their resources in speeding up EADs or K1s or CR1s. Those applicants sometimes spend a long time separated from their loved ones.

The reality is that getting through a live agent , booking an InfoPass takes special skills and employing by the hook or crook methods. @mindthegap is an InfoPass Ninja, whole VJ threads are dedicated to what “ still works is the no receipt “ option , or how to hack USCIS Emma posts on YouTube by immigration attorneys…

They can give you all the grief they want, but the law is the law

If you present an extension letter with your I-9 to get a new job; the employer does have to re-verify before the extension letter expires.  
 

The gas lighting on this thread that some people with expired extension letters are having trouble getting I-551 stamps to work, renew DL, or any travel isn’t helpful.  Some field offices are intransigent.
