i agree since your pd date is 31st of August and most petitions are taking a year ,  i would wait a bit longer

I believe so too. I don’t ever believe my VJ timeline estimate because it’s so far off and always changing. Now saying Aug of 22 or by Jan of 23. Nope. Don’t believe that one bit

Then why wouldn’t you file  I-129F? Really not following the logic of inaction.

Because in my opinion as I have already stated it is pointless at this time in my process. If you can not respect my feelings on the matter than that’s fine. But don’t keep poking at me about please

I didn’t tell him not to post. I just said please don’t poke at me about the issue. I’m on here posting how I feel about my process and trying to do the best I can. I’m not upset with his opinions. He is entitled to those.

One reason I have not filed the k3 is because I do not want it to screw up the process with my I-130. Not sure how that works. And mine and my husbands employment has changed since filing the i-130. Both started new jobs. He is with someone who works self employed so not sure if I fill out the form the same as I filled out my I-130 or do I update some information

So, idk what you've heard but, everything you said doesn't make sense, let's go by parts from what you've said...

1st, the i-129f doesn't do anything to your i-130, it could actually speed up the process according to other people (not sure if it's all true), but it's free and if you get approved on your i-130 they reject your i-129f and you move on to NVC.

2nd the fact that your husband started a new job meanwhile doesn't mean that he has to inform USCIS right now, because you're going to have to provide all of that information again to NVC and it has to be the updated one, so you don't change anything for now, keep the same info that you have on the i-130.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Okay I understand. I just talked to a lawyer this evening and he advised me not to submit a k3 since I’m so far into waiting on my approval it should be coming soon. I appreciate everyone’s advice and time to respond to my question
