Hi all, I just got my NOA, I751-petition to remove conditions on residence and planning to visit my old country Malaysia in January 2023. I’d be renewing my Malaysian passport while I’m there.

Would that pose a problem when I re-enter the US? Of course I’d be having my old passport in hand together with the USCIS extension letter and my expired GC.

Passport renewal won't effect anything as long as you have a valid passport in hand, along with the letter and greencard.

It won't be a problem, My husband did the same before he became a US citizen without any issues. Have a great trip!
