Does NOA2 expire for IR1?

We got our NOA2 in March 2022, which we were delighted with but since then I got a new job abroad and would like to stay in it for a year before moving to the US. Because of this, we have yet to file at NVC.

My question is, does the NOA2 expire for an IR-1? We are a US citizen & NRA spouse living in Ireland.

Expecting the rest of the process, from NVC to GC in hand, to take about 6-9 months for us. Can we delay sending in our NVC according to that timeline (6-9 months) before moving to the US?

you  can delay the process for a year by not paying the 2 fees and filing out the needed forms

even if start the prccess there by paying the  fees , you can delay sending the needed supporting documents to CEAC site

when u do delay the case ,  send an email or letter at least once a month to NVC saying u wish to keep the case open

include in the note the case #,  both names , and both DOB's

Not sure about delaying the process but wanted to mention that once you get the visa in your passport, you have 6 months to enter the US. You don't have to do it right away. :)
