One of the least fun parts of my new apartment has been coming to the realization that I am sharing it with some kind of pest. I believe it to be a rodent (or several). Anyway, they came out and did extermination this morning. I just arrived home about 20 minutes ago and as soon as I walked in I noticed the odor...I was wondering if it was safe for me to be here smelling this odor. So I called the emergency line for the pest control and the guy says the only stuff they use doesn't have an odor and is perfectly safe...which makes me wonder what it is I'm smelling and if I really should be here smelling it...Does anyone know anything about this???

Oh my gosh-I hope you're not serious. I'm really worried about it. I've called emergency maintenance...

Melissa,

I'm not serious. I almost never am.

Hope it works out

Thanks, I hope so too! Mostly I'd just like the little rodents to go away. I'm not much in the mood for dealing with dead creatures either...

Well...it's not the gas from the oven because he checked it. So I don't know what it is. I have opened a couple windows. Hopefully that will be good enough. They're coming back to check in the morning. It's times like this when I could really use my Javy back.... :(

I wouldn't consider any pesticides 100% safe. Their job is to kill. Opening windows is a good idea.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Isn't that terrible-we never did find out what it was. He determined that it wasn't gas leaking from the oven so he said I was safe for the night and I had the windows open and I just went to sleep. I guess it was alright because I'm still here! Either the smell has dissipated or I have gotten used to it because I can't smell anything anymore.
