I am in the united states and I am about to file my I-130 and I-485. My question is do I need to send the original I-130 to my regional center and send the I-485 with a copy of the I-130 to Chicago. Or do I send both originals to the Chicago Service Center. The information on the I-130 says to send to the regional center.

I have looked at the guide and when it gets to Filing part of the guide it seems to be talking about the I-485

Please help

Thanks in advance

You put both forms in the same envelope and mail them to the Chicago Lockbox to the address on the front of the I-485 form. If you see my signature you'll see this is what I did. Note that this is not the "Chicago Service Center" (there is no such thing), but a mail room that then gets forwarded to the National Benefits Center for processing.

HappyGuy: I-130 is needed if you're in the USA and filing for AOS through marriage from a visa other than K-1, its not just used to "bring a alien spouse to the USA". If you're confused perhaps you shouldn't answer people's posts, as that just causes more confusion.

arent these forms filed by two different ppl??

I-130 by the USC, and the 485 by the beneficiary.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.
