Submitted the wrong US Embassy in the I-129F.

Hello,

 

The Petitioner is from Australia and when we submitted the I-129F we chose Melbourne as the US Embassy, since it was the closest to him. However, I recently read that Sydney is the only Embassy that processes K Visas. Will this mistake slow down getting an Interview scheduled if they are mailing around our case? Or, will the California Service Center just automatically send our case to Sydney? Thanks!

This selection is always ignored. DoS will await the consulate it wants.
