If was charging toward me and my weapon had the capacity, I would keep firing until empty or the target was on the ground and not likely to rise up. Especially if it had antlers.

You are comparing a pistol against a member of the species of apex predators, versus a rifle with against an inanimate object that has momentum.

Not apples and oranges, more like watermelons and blue berries (the teeny tiny eponymous ones that grow in Saskatoon and beyond).

So you just made my point. You would stop firing if an animal was on the ground and not moving but a unarmed youg man not so much.

He was moving on the ground. I watched the videos. Now either he was moving because of dozens of rounds being pumped into him I cannot say.

Did you see the video I posted of the officer in Georgia who failed to empty this magazine / chamber? The guy got up off the ground and rushed the officer before he could get another shot off.

You shoot until the suspect stops moving.

Floyd has its own thread or so I heard

Doesn't change the facts.  He was a thug & a druggie, and the meth and fentanyl he ingested to hide it from the cops is what killed him, period.  It is impossible to "choke a person to death" in the pin he was in.

My point exactly. It was apples and oranges to begin with when someone asked me if i have shot a moving target to compare it to cops shooting.

When I asked about shooting a moving target, I was referring to doing so in a similar fashion as cops do.  With a pistol, when said target is moving in any direction, and especially when said target is shooting at you.  I gave you credit for having borrowed a gun to shoot some skeet, but as someone who has zero gun skills or knowledge, you might find yourself over your head trying to pass judgment on these cops.  Just sayin'.  But all opinions are welcome here in CEHST, so feel free to chime in any time!

Though i do believe shooting an over 5'x1' body moving on ground by trained people is much easier than shooting a 3" dia skeet flying in the air by an amateur who doesn't even own a gun.

And you would be 1,000% wrong.  I suggest doing some research (more than just one or two paragraphs, in fact) on the 21 foot rule.

You SHOULD know better.  But maybe you don't.

I know MANY stories of 9mm magazines emptied into a perp that didn't go down.  Especially if hopped up on drugs.

I was being a wise guy. Did you see the Pennsylvania snow shoveling shooting video a couple of years ago? Woman was hit a few times and still alive.

If you dropped a deer would you pump 59 more shots into just cause? If you did that out hunting folks round here would think you are a psychopath

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Sorry brother, my sarcasm detector was turned off for Independence Day.

No, missed that one.  I did see a story today about a school shooting by an armed teacher or coach, but of course, it didn't make it to the MSM.

It's amazing how many people who have little to no experience with guns, have never hunted, and have certainly never faced an armed combatant have SO MUCH to say about how to properly kill someone.  SMH

I wonder what percentage on deer hunters take the hunted for meat? 😁 I'd assume very minimal.

While I don't do any hunting myself, I know a great many of them, including family members. ALL of them, EVERY single one of them take the meat from deer hunting. I can only guess you don't know any hunters.

In fantasy land where everyone thinks they are John Wick, one shot would suffice.

In reality land there are things called training, fear, adrenaline and instinct.
