I called USCIS to get updates on my file, my application was received March 2, 2022 and the person from USCIS on the phone saw my file and told me that it will be finished in 3 to 6 months.

I saw that the time to receive the NOA2 was 10-13 months here, do you think it has accelerated?

She also said that if a document was missing I would have already received the RFE.

thank you

Thank you, but why did she say it will be over in 3 to 6 months for I-129?

Because Tier 1 agents who answer phones are customer service representatives and not actual immigration officers. Hence they do not know much about the immigration process.

Because she has no information about your petition /she can not see the case and she is not an officer that does the work/  she just answers the phone and basically she doesn't know anything /  the service is useless and the receipt itself says" don't contact USCIS"  as they can't answer your questions

What determines your case is the amount of documents they have to sift thru

1. the # of petitions received in the recent period by the office doing your work

2. like divorce(s) take extra time to verify the paperwork has proper court stamps

3. any arrest and court papers for either USC or bene add extra time

4. the country (embassy) for high fraud countries take extra time /and yours is France so no issue

5. the officer doing the work and his /her experience

6. names that are used over and over in some countries can trigger a search

but u just applied in March

give it some time

use the following site to look up the office case processing times and understand they can change at any time due to volume of workload

Both of those statements are incorrect.

RFEs are not generated until someone begins adjudicating a petition.   It does not take 13 months to adjudicate a petition-  most take about 30 minutes.  Nothing is actively happening to your petition for 99% of the ‘processing time.’

Anything in your petition that would trigger an RFE hasn’t even been seen yet.

If you go to USCIS.gov , you can check the current processing time for the I-129F.

I wonder what the actual cost to the USCIS is to process a single K1 petition (manpower, scanning documents etc.). If it really is about 30 minutes, the $535 filing fee gives them a hell of a profit. And on top of that I saw where the got $240 million from the federal government to help them catch up and "clear the backlog". If they need $240 million extra, where the hell did my filing fee go?😁

They're not making a 'profit.'

Like all complex systems, there is a lot more involved in the process than just  the 30 minutes or whatever.

I work in healthcare.  A 30 minute infusion for a patient may seem quick and easy, but the unseen research and development, education, time, materials etc that went into making it happen are significant.
