Approval notice is in my inbox on the USCIS site.  Approved June 8th.  Step one down!

Apparently this got sent to the California Service Center from Vermont via Nebraska... They're shifting things around a lot it seems.

Thank you! Hopefully, we will get it next week.

Another question:

I have sent through the I-864 form + Financial paperwork of my joint sponsor with the I-130 form. Do I need to ask my joint sponsor for updated paperwork?

my wife is the applicant and has been living in Australia for the last 17 years and got an active bank account (since 2017) and we have also enrolled my son in school in the US. Is that enough to show intention to move + domicile?

You did the i-864 when you submitted the i130 paperwork a year ago? As NVC is a separate entity and they often want the most recent financial records to prove that the assets are stable and not temporary just to get above the threshold I'd suggest updating the paperwork to NVC. I would think enrolling your son in a US school would be pretty strong evidence of intent and certainly as an intending immigrant opening a bank account in the USA would help. But I think only the sponsor (you and your joint) need to prove domicile in the USA (I assume you are the American citizen?). In our case, I am the sponsor but have been living with my wife in Italy for the past year while we are going through this process. I maintain my sole financial accounts in the USA and have an active mailing address there as well. So I hope that is sufficient for domicile for myself!

My case has been sent to NVC on June 2 but haven't receive anything yet from the NVC

We filed four I-130 petitions on June 2, 2022 - this is our timeline:

  • Received the notice of I-130 approval on November 14 (letter was dated November 12)
  • Received notice via email of NVC case creation on November 19
  • Paid the AOS and IV fees on November 21
  • Submitted everything to NVC on April 13 (got way delayed getting passports for my minor stepchildren)
  • 3 our of the 4 cases were DQd on April 26 by NVC; forgot to upload one document to the fourth case, uploaded that and it was DQd on May 26
  • Currently waiting for an interview

If your case was sent to NVC on June 2, and you still haven't received any communication from them, I would submit an inquiry here.

Thank you !

We received our welcome letter yesterday !

Now, we are just going to slow down the process as this is too early for us.

Hello everyone!!! Happy to say that my husband’s and my stepson’s I-130 petitions were finally approved at the USCIS stage 🥳! After receiving an rfe for more evidence of Bona Fide marriage, I wrote a letter and resent USCIS the same things again that they were asking for and some new photos of us and some photos of us that I had previously sent and we were approved yesterday ! Now it’s time to wait for the letter from NVC and go from there. Praise God! I thank Him for this blessing!
