Hello guys.

I am kinda lost now I don't know which service center is really processing my petition. When I asked back in March one of the USCIS representatives told me that my petitions for my parents are at Texas service cente, and sometime in May my senator office told me the petitions are processed by potomac, and now I just got offline talking with one of the USCIS representatives who told me that both petitions are at Nebraska service center.

The question remains, had anyone went through the same experience before ?

Petitions get transferred all the time without notifying the petitioner. USCIS has its own system of assigning  and transferring petitions to balance the workload among the service centers.

Doesn't matter where it is. You join the queue and wait. Average wait times is 1.5 years from filing.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I do know that, but each service center has its own time frame.

Yet they are all BS and rarely the cases follow these time frames. For example, my gc was supposed to take 17 months based on my FO, yet I was done in 6 months. Completely unpredictable

Ignore the time frames.

Some people from Nebraska are approved in 3 months while other people from Nebraska wait 8 months.

Same for California... the processing times are a lot longer than actual approvals.

You get approved when you get approved. You should expect to be approved after 1.5 years. If you wait longer you can start to investigate...

But for all you know your case could move AGAIN.

they are 2 separate petitions and could have gone to the 2 different service centers

which isn't important at this point as u can join the timeframes to interview at NVC stage usually by the way you pay the 2 fees for each and submit the supporting documents

1st went to Texas and were transfered out for workload issues

Remember now Memorial and fourth of July and labor day with officers taking long holiday or summer vacations

This is a hard wait as we get no info on the process unless there is a RFE

u need patience

it doesn't matter what office has it ,  u can't really call and  get updates

Did you get your receipt notice?

The bottom left of the notice should state the office that your case was assigned to, at least initially.

I did double check several times through the week with USCIS customer representatives, it is at texas service center only one of them told me Nebraska,  and senator told me potomac, but most of the representatives told me TSC, so I assume it it at texas service center.
