Hello everyone,

I had previously posted the following in December of last year:

Hi All,

So my husband and I had marriage based AOS interview in the first week of Nov. The officer who interviewed us did not officially say "Case Approved" but she did say that our green card will  reach us in 2-4 weeks. At the end she handed us a copy of a document where she marked our case as "your application/petition has been handed over for approval"

It has already been more than 6 weeks since our interview and our case status on their website still says "Interview was scheduled" dated Sept 29th, 2021.

Does anyone know what the wait time could be after AOS interview and if there is a way to contact their office to find out the progress?

Thanks in advance!

As mentioned, we were given a "recommended for approval" certificate and were advised 2-4 weeks before we would receive my physical green card. We have still not heard anything from USCIS regarding our case. Our case status has also not updated on the USCIS website since September 2021--several months before our AOS interview. On May 29th, 2022 we submitted an inquiry to USCIS via their website and have also not received any response. I am getting worried due to the extended wait time and lack of any communication whatsoever from USCIS.

Is this to be expected? Is there a person or department we could get in touch with for an update?

Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

After 120 calender days, you can raise a service request

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
