Hey Everyone

I have overstayed my J-1 visa and I want to see about my options to stay legally, either a new visa or start the green card process. I appreciate any advice you might have.

Marry a USC is the only one that comes to mind.

On what basis would you start the green card process?   In addition, any non-immigrant visa privileges are, likely, gone.

Um, no, not really. You’re highly unlikely to get any new non immigrant visa seeing as you have overstayed one. Unless you have a genuine relationship &marriage to a US citizen there is no path to adjustment of status for a green card.

Why did you decide to overstay your visa? The only viable option you have is marrying a US citizen. You should have thought carefully before making such a decision. Your chances of getting any other non-immigrant visas are most likely gone. Good luck and I'm out.

No.  That ship has sailed.  Unfortunate you decided to overstay, because that makes it more difficult for you and others from your country to get US visas.
