Hi there, I’ve had a few back and forth a now with NVC lasting 6 months. The first was to fill out i864 I stead of i864 EZ since I’m qualifying my husband based on assets. The 2nd time, yesterday, there were two messages. 1. Please provide evidence of income 2. This case does not meet income requirements to sponsor intended immigrant. To avoid delays you may upload i864 joint sponsor. The consular office will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of interview.

I’ll now use my mom as a joint sponsor. mom is married and files jointly but she receives annuity checks under her name for more than enough to qualify. 1 question Is…What is the best document to show proving her income? Tax returns? Even if filing jointly? If so, how far back? She has annuity statements as well.
2nd questions is….I have 0 income as I’m nearly 4 months pregnant and waiting out baby. My husband though (beneficiary), is contracting for 3 companies, all of which will continue after move and he’s earning in USD. He’s averaging now around 7k-8k a month. Should we also include a letter from his contract employers stating this? or not worth it since he is only contract and not employed?

Any response is much appreciated, im terrified to have the baby here without my husband. I’m US citizen, he’s German. We’ve been in line since January 2021. I’m 37 and did not want to wait any longer to family plan, not that this should need justification.

Whatever the rules are they prefer regular income been there seen that.

Is there someone with a regular job you could use?

If your notice says the consular officer will make the decision, then NVC is now out of the picture.  If you are well qualified based on joint assets well over 3 X the income requirement, simply IGNORE THIS MESSAGE.  You MAY does not mean you must or even should. YOU.....decide that based on how qualified you already know you are.  If your assets are not WELL OVER the minimum requirement, get a joint sponsor. If they are...IGNORE the message.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
