Hello all, I'm new here. I got an immigrant visa through  my grandmother. I'm traveling for the very first time so I'm a little nerveous. There 2 mistakes on my DS 260 that I would like to know if someone else who is already living in U.S experienced some of these mistakes and could enter anyways. First mistake is : Wrong city on my mother's city of birth. Country is ok (CHILE), but the city was a typo (Lawyer wrote the city she is currently living San francisco. Second mistake is: The address where my green card should arrive but I think I could fix it at the POE. Also I had a previous tourist visa application refused . One where I didn't listed my grand mother on relatives

( I disclosed this visa refusal on the IV interview). So, knowing all this, do you think I could face any problems at POE. Any suggestions or experiences to share with me? Thank you all you!

Did you declare the birthplace error at your interview ? Its past history now anyway. Tell the CBP officer at POE  the address you want the GC to be sent  to

Hello Lil bear . Nice to chatting with you; I didn’t say anything about the city of birth  cuz I realized about it until today. However I gave them my mother’s certificate of birth because they asked about it before the interview I think it’s a requirement .

Do you think cbp will denied me the entry because of that?

Nope. They are just the collectors of the documents and the stampers of the visa !!

Hello guys! First of all, thank you to the some people that share experiences here and give advices. I will be traveling very soon and I have been very stressed to the point of sleeplessness because I found an error in my ds 260 after having already received the visa. As I mentioned in one post, the city of birth of my mother ( the principal immigrant who is already living in U.S )was wrong on the Ds 260. The country  of birth is ok but the city is the actual where he is living not the city of birth.  Many have told me that I'm exaggerating, however, I have always followed the rules and done things to the best of my ability. This time I failed to notice this in advance, I am about to leave everything in my country, I no longer have a job, home or belongings.Has one of you ever had an error like this and still been able to enter the US without problems? I know that nobody can predict the future, I just wanted to know if this could be a big bug that causes entry denials.

Did you attempt to correct it at the consulate?

Honestly?  I wouldn't bother to try to fix it if you plan to travel soon, or lose sleep over it.

Like you, I'm very much "by the book."  The country of birth is way more important than the city.  There are reasons why foreign-born people may not have a completely correct city listed on documents:  "city" could also mean greater municipality, or region;  record-keeping could be remiss; cities can be renamed, etc.   Even US passports for US-born citizens only list the state of birth, not city.

I made the same mistake on the petition by listing what I thought was my city of birth when my birth certificate actually showed a different (but adjacent) city.

I let it slide and nobody said anything.

Don't worry at all. Not a material misrepresentation. Travel with peace of kind. For US internal documentation purpose, place of birth of an alien will be the country, they don't go that far deep down to the city level.

Hello Dear Jorgedig, I noticed the error after the interview. So I don't know if it's possible to fix it in my Ds 260 app. The city of birth of my mom who is the main immigrant is wrong (it says a US city) and the country is ok, our country of birth is right. I am traveling as a derivative of her. So I thought it would be a ''mess'' for me at the border. I appreciate your words of support and interest in advising me on this post.

Wow! thank you for your words! I was very scared that when I said I was coming to live with ''Mom'' they would check that the city I wrote about her was incorrect.
