Our DCF in London got approved in March,.  Last week I got my case number from the US Embassy in London, After that I filed my DS260 and booked my embassy appointment for mid July.  I understand there needs to be at least 5 days between the medical appointment and the embassy visit but is there a maximum gap of days between both appointments?

Remember.  Your visa expiration date will be determined based on your medical exam date.  The visa expiration date will be no later than 6 months after the medical.  It could be less.

Your medical is valid for 6 months so that’s technically your maximum gap, but you need it sooner because your visa expiry will be set at a maximum of 6 months from the medical too.

Sorry. I was answering in the context of her interview is already set for mid July, so any medical date she picks  before mid July is not going to be too much gap between the medical and interview. That’s how I interpreted he question. For example she could pick a medical date this week and it would not expire prior to her July interview. I agree the visa needs to be used within 6 months of the medical date.
