Hello,

How long does it take for interview to come in IR1 case, my case was approved in april 2022 by the NVC. I have a one year and 6 month old son and wife in USA. I miss my family badly. The pain I have to go through of not being around them hurts more every passing day!

Kindly enlighten me and also if we can expedite our case!

We applied in December 2020.

Thanks

Hello,

I am from Pakistan and my wife and son are US citizens.

There is a big backlog.

You can follow this thread:

Someone in the thread just received their interview date ( August 31, 2022) and their DQ date was Feb 23, 2021.

You maybe have another year of waiting.

you really do need to read the Pakistan portal posts and embassy  reviews

We all know it is hard and Heartbreaking to be away from people we love /especially not being able to see a child grow in the beginning years of his life

I hope she and your son can visit often to spend some quality time with u.

but  being separated while waiting for a US visa to be approved,  is what we have all chosen,

many from Pakistan go thru extended AP after the interview and it can take weeks,  months or as long as a year

the AP is for extended security checks and Pakistan is poor for record keeping

u really need to go to the portal and read what others have posted about the process.
