File I-751 for permanent residence

3 years ago I applied for I-485 from NYC. It was approved and I was granted conditional residence for 2 years in US. Since then, I've moved to San Jose (CA) and 2 year conditional residence is about to expire soon. I do know that the next step is to apply for permanent residence via I-751.

My question is : When applying for permanent residence, should I send I-751 to NYC or to USCIS office in California ?

Neither.  It gets sent to a lockbox and then assigned to one of the service centers.  The address is well documented on USCIS.gov.

Sounds like you need to read the guides here on VJ on removing conditions, and also the I-751 form/instructions on USCIS.gov.

Could you send the extract where it says it gets sent to a lock box ? I couldn't find the exact clause while reading the instructions.

Thank you for sending the link.

So, I should use the address given for resident of California (current residence) even though I-485 (original application) was sent from NY ?

I hope that you changed your address as required  by the USCIS when you moved ?

Yes. I did change my address. But USCIS hasn’t sent confirmed via mail that address change request is complete.

I just have a confirmation on email from USCIS saying address change request is submitted. But nothing after that.

i did call USCIS but wasn’t connected to an agent.
Is there any other way to check my address in their system ?

It’s fine. I was in the same situation. They do not send anything in the mail. But when you file for the 751 with the new address, all the notices should be mailed there.
