So you can allow the petition to die by not doing anything. Or if you have the case number, you can send a letter to withdraw .

It shouldn’t have an obvious effect on future petitions, but it might be scrutinized based on the totality of circumstances

I'm not planning on doing anything with the petition, for sure I'm abandoning it.

I read the beneficiary can't send a letter to withdraw it only the petitioner. We aren't talking so I can't ask him to withdraw it.

I think all of us , man or woman,  have our dream about the ideal mate

could be for love

could be for stability

whatever it is,   sorry that you are going thru a breakup

that's hard on anyone as it squahes your dream of a new life

when u do meet someone that seems to be the right one,  take a long time to get to know the "real him"

no matter what country he lives in,  when u marry, u leave home and family,  so make sure u are happy and the person really cares

and yes,  K1 relationships break up , just be glad this happened before u were stuck in the US with no family and friends to support u emotionally

and yes,  many still find another to do  a K1 as it seems people have an idea of what Americans are like and what life is like here.

TV does not show what it really is / be careful and be wise

You're completely right and I agree with you.

The next relationship will take a while before even marriage is brought up that's for sure.

Thank you for your kindness have a good day

correct,  only the petitioner can withdraw the petition

but if u have actual proof,   not hear say from others,  keep that proof and be able to show it if ever questioned later on by a US immigration officer

and u may not be talking but it may be possible to send a message,  text or email or thru facebook or "friends"  to politely ask him to withdraw the petition (keep that notice in your files too)

seems to me for any immigration process we first have to prove things to immigration

then we have to be able to prove we showed or sent the proof

I have all the messages him admitting to infidelity.

Yes with immigration is all about what you can prove.

I'll try reaching out via text n see if he can withdraw it.

The petitioner is the only one who can withdraw the petition.
