I am IR-1 Principal applicant, I have not received my Interview Appointment since we were DQed in 2021, However my Child who is IR-2 and we applied same time has received her Interview appointment and going for interview next week.

What are the implications? Do I notify NVC that my Interview date has not come? what bases will my child be approved? Kindly advice

I would be sending notification soon as I got interview to let them know u are parent and DQ's your full name and Case# your child's and ask for your case to be brought to the embassy.

Thanks Zain1244!  That's actually a bit surprising to me but I certainly believe it is possible.  The only part that might make that a little problematic is that my wife's mother only speaks Twi, doesn't speak English.  So if she were to be called for the interview by herself, would that pose a problem?

As for guessing the interview date I'm just making the assumption that if they are working on late July 2020 DQ's right now, and her mother is late Oct, that is a 3 month difference.  So if they are scheduling May 2022 interviews now, maybe she'd get one in Aug/Sept 2022?  But of course that is based on many assumptions....

Note my child is studying abroad so  her  interview is scheduled to take place in that country, we opted for that right from the filing I130

I know the backlog for ir1 is different from ir2.. I'm not certain but the reason could be you are in the queue of cr1/ir1 and with that they're now interviewing August 2020. If that's the case, then you have a long waiting time and Ghana is moving slow. Also another possibility could be your child studying in a country. The backlog in that country may not be massive like Ghana.

My wife is a US Citizen and she filed for me and my 2 children. She filed when the kids were 19 and 18 yrs old. I was DQ June 2021 and my daughters Dec 2021 and April 2022. My child who was DQ in April 2022 was invited for interview in June while the 2 of us have not received an interview appointment yet. At her interview she was told her visa will be dependent on her fathers (prinicipal applicant) visa approval first. My question is why did NVC invite her first? how long can we wait before her medical exams used for her IV expires?  Any experience or advice?
